Privacy policy

YRRC (Yacht Racers Resource Center) runs Crew Finder to connect racing sailors in Southern California. This page explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

When you sign up we collect your name, email, optional phone number, whether you're crew or a skipper, positions, experience, availability, preferred marinas, optional age range, boat details (skippers) and any comments you add.

How we use it

• To match skippers with crew by position, marina, experience and schedule.
• To email you about potential matches and club crew opportunities.

We do not sell your information or post it publicly.

Who sees your contact details

Your email and phone are seen only by YRRC volunteers who run the board. They are shared with a skipper or crew member only after both sides agree to a match.

Where it's stored

Sign-ups are stored with our website host (Netlify) and in club records managed by YRRC volunteers.

Age requirement

Crew Finder is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
